On Wednesday, August 20, the FEI World Pair Driving Championship in Beekbergen kicks off with a spectacular opening night full of pride, showmanship, and equestrian excellence.
Celebrating the Dutch horse, the evening will showcase the Gelderlander, the Dutch Harness Horse, and of course, the black pearls from the north: the Friesian horses.
With their imposing presence, work ethic, and charm, Friesians are beloved worldwide—something that becomes clear during the show by Stal Chardon. Whether in harness or under saddle, the versatility of the Friesian horse is on full display. Five-time World Champion Jurre 495 will be present at the stud station… but whether he’ll make an appearance in the arena remains a surprise!
The Royal Stables Department also adds a regal touch to this dazzling evening, which concludes with a spectacular racing act and a festive finale by Crazy Pianos On Tour.
The World Pair Driving Championship, also known as Paardenspektakel Beekbergen, is free to attend on all days. In addition to thrilling sport, there’s something for everyone: from a children’s program to live music, from a bustling country fair with food trucks to a foam party.
