“We deliver power solutions – that’s what we do,” says Jaap Fluit, CEO of Bredenoord. And they do it with pride, especially when it comes to a leading event like the World Pair Driving Championship, taking place from 20 to 24 August in Beekbergen.
When Championship Chairman and former mayor John Berends – a great enthusiast of the sport of driving – approached Jaap, he didn’t have to think twice.
“We’ve already made great events possible together, such as the Giro and 3FM Serious Request. So when this came our way, we immediately said: of course, we’re in.”
What you may not see while enjoying the competitions or having a drink by the ring, is that Bredenoord is working behind the scenes to keep everything running. Generators, power distribution boxes, kilometres of cables… everything needed to keep catering, livestreams, public address systems, and lighting running smoothly.
But this commitment goes beyond technology.
“We think it’s important to connect with what’s happening in our region. Our people live and work in Apeldoorn. We’re proud of this place – and of what we achieve together here. Apeldoorn is simply a great place to live and enjoy life. So yes, we’re happy to contribute to that.”
