Koos de Ronde is honored as Dutch champion. Like last year, he won the National Championships. After his victory in the marathon yesterday, he seemed to be heading for a clear cones course, but on obstacle 18 he had a knockdown. He could afford it because het was far ahead of Mark Weusthof, who took the silver medal. Peter de Ronde was the only competitor who drove a clear round. He earned the bronze medal.
The Dutch champion was congratulated bij Mayor John Berends. He also received an extra price, offered by De Lemerij and Van Veluw Mensport: a nice single harness. The newly crowned champion will now prepare for the World Championships in Tryon. We wish him and the Dutch team the best of luck.
